Given that it's broken down 3 times in a year, you'd probably be able to argue fairly easily that the fault is inherent, which means the 1 year warranty is irrelevant. Actually getting them to do something about it outside the warranty is, of course, a completely different issue.
Personally, I'd start kicking up a fuss now - the chances of a full refund are slim to none, but with a bit of careful negotiation you may be able to get a respectable discount towards a replacement.0 -
