Paypal Protection - A Word Of Warning

Scott,
I am taking Paypal to court over an unsatisfactory dealing over a dispute.
Small claims - £25 but I just want to see them in court even if I lose.
DO IT!!!!!!0 -
Actually it doesn't as if you pay via paypal it's legally counted as a third party transaction. So your dealings are with paypal not the retailer. The majority of banks see it this way only the odd one will allow a section 75Cb via a paypal transaction.
No thats incorrect Ive never know anyone whos raised a chargeback been told the bank doesnt do them if it was with Paypal!Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

It's not incorrect at all.
You are getting confused between 2 different actions emweaver.
A section 75 claim and a chargeback are totally different and although people often use use one term instead of the other, the two are in no way related.
A chargeback is when you contact your card issuer and inform them that the goods that you paid for didn't arrive or were not as expected and you want to reclaim the money.
It is entirely on the goodwill of the card issuer if they do this and they can act on any claim irrexpective of the amount and how payment was made.
A Section 75 claim is a legal process (part of the consumer credit act), and if the claim is valid them the card issuer has no option but to follow the requirements of the act.
This is limited to claims between £100 and £30,000 and is only applicable for payments made from the credit company that have gone directly to the seller.0 -

I think that's my only option.
Taking a day off work for it is going to cost me as much as the goods though sadly.0 -
You can open a new dispute if the reason is different from the first reason.
Try opening a Significantly Not as Described Dispte in Ebay instead.0
