You have now bid and won, the one thing I can guarantee you is the sooner you pay for it the sooner you will receive it. However I would not count on receiving it before Christmas as the seller stipulated quite clearly the time frame you can expect to receive the item in.
.
Good point. I wonder though whether OP means the 'dispatch' time shows as 3-5 days or the delivery time? If it is dispatch then it is unlikely to be sent now until after Christmas, even if it is delivery time then if we could paying tonight as starting the clock tomorrow it not scheduled until saturday- or more realistically after Christmas.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you check interparcel they are still offering 3 services in time for christmasAre there any couriers at all though still doing a fast service? The likes of Collect Plus have suspended their services entirely as have some of the others until after Christmas.
A ring might well be better special delivery as they are setill guaranteeing next day delivery if sent on Thursday and a ring is likely to fall into their 100g weight band for £5.45
Sorry OP gone a bit off topic here as none of this is your problem really. It is entirely up to the seller to get the ring to you, so any insurance is for their benefit not yours. You have full buyer protection as long as you paid by paypal.0 -
You could get the sellers phone number from ebay & call them tomorrow morning to ask if they can send it special delivery.0

If you delay paying then they definitely won't send it out until they see the payment.0

Whenever selling, I will not send anything out before I've got a payment through paypal, and most sellers operate this way.
Imagine you are the seller, you have a £350 ring and it's won by someone who has no feedback, you have no idea if they are genuine or even have the £350 so it's very very unlikely that the seller would send it without payment.
The seller is only obligated to send it out within the timeframe they have given, so he/she does not have to send it out on next day delivery, you probably should have enquired beforehand whether they would be willing to send it out quickly.
For future reference, sellers are much more likely to cooperate if they have immediate payment and any queries are sent before bidding ends.0 -

I don;t think there is any suggestion at all in the thread that OP was expecting ring to be sent without payment first.mishkanorman wrote: »i didnt think jewellery was covered with special delivery ?
