amazon prime customer here, everything has been next day... except the 3 things sent royal mail...
  • i use amazon all the time and am always happy with the delivery times..i stoped using play.com in november just incase
Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T
  • I ordered my husband's Christmas present from Amazon with delivery set for yesterday. We waited in all day, had several deliveries from Royal Mail and other couriers, and I kept up to date with my Amazon order, (couriered by HDNL) all day. It was loaded on to the van at 0747 yesterday morning, but by 4pm it was still saying it was on the van. At 430 I checked again, only to find it marked as delivered, left in porch! My Flat is in a communal building and there is no porch! No one rang the bell, and there was no card left.
It now says that my parcel was delivered at 1330 yesterday afternoon. What a load of tosh! I phoned HDNL, had to call 6 times before I was finally put on hold, where by I waited another 5 minutes before being told by the customer service man that the delivery driver had left it in the porch! He couldn't give me any other details, and said he would have to interview the driver, but the drivers aren't issued with mobile phones so they would conduct the interview tomorrow! What a mess.
Fortunately Amazon have re issued the product, and it should be delivered tomorrow. But if they use HDNL again, I don't hold out much hope!
I'm left wondering what the hell happened to my original parcel. Did the driver leave it on view and someone else has taken it? Did the driver deliver to the wrong address? Did the driver take my parcel for himself? He certainly didn't call to my home, ring the bell or leave a card.
I'm absolutely fuming, and would warn anyone against using HDNL.
  • I don't think anything that I've ordered from Amazon has been delivered by HDNL as mine seems to arrive by Royal Mail. I've never had any problems with the free delivery and everything has always arrived very promptly.
Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free :)
    Mortgage free since 2014 :)
  • Yes, he must have stolen it as that would be a really clever thing to do after he'd scanned it with his own unique ID and password and being the last person to handle it.Noone would find out.
BTW front porch is used because the options for where you have left it are extremely limited-something like "front porch, back porch, neighbour, outbuilding, posted" so you have to pick the most apllicable.

The driver may have left the parcel at an incorrect address. For example he/she may have delivered to 17 Starview Close instead of 17 Starview Crescent.
    The man without a signature.
  • We ordered something Monday that had an estimated dispatch of 4-6 weeks. The estimate then changed to next week. It came this morning!
