Geneer should you not be spending your lunch break more constructively e.g doing your Christmas Shopping?
.............or will you stun everyone when you announce on Christmas Eve that " I actually finished all my Christmas shopping in February";)
Kind Regards

RepoMan, I'm so glad you decided to join the party. It really wouldn't have been the same without you.

Yeah. Because if it didn't happen here it didn't Happen.
Iveseenthelight has managed to convince himself of the same.RenovationMan wrote: »It is laughable, I have to say. '

I Stand by that one RM. You were very clear that your position was it was foolish to try and time the market, and one should be as soon as one could afford to.
Naturally I said that this stunning “plan” could and very likely did lead to many buying at peak.
Given that this as simply common sense, I’m unsure as to why you would bring it up here. I suspect your temper has got the better of you.RenovationMan wrote: »What I found odd was the idea that someone buying in 2007 would actually know that it was the top of the market, as opposed to someone buying in 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002. Geneer was showing his 'hindsight' investment strategies' even then.
You’re not really making any sense. Take a breath man.RenovationMan wrote: »Now he has decided to have bought 2 years ago at the trough of the market crash, again using his 'hindsight investment strategy'. The question again is why would a property bear buy in 2009 when all indicators showed that the market would be in freefall? At the time geneer supposedly bought in 2009, it was likely that the housing market would fall much further. Clearly geneer will try to tell us that he knew the BoE and Government would successfully put all the measures in place to stabalize house prices.
No. I decided to buy two years ago and did. I also decided to wind up a handful of obsessive posters on another website. The fact that I managed to pick up a number of similar pals here was just the cherry on the cake.
Like I said, glad you could make it.RenovationMan wrote: »The only fly in the ointments is that he never posted any of this, he kept quiet about his house purchase for two years and more importantly he mocked those who did buy after the crash, such as myself.
Oh no. Did I keep my secret secret. What an extraordinary thing to do.
Keeping something from someone because you don’t yet want them to know it.
No. Fibber. I never mocked you for buying RM.
I did however mock the contents of your arguments.
Or turn your arguments back against you, to demonstrate their spurious nature.
Quite different from the way you choose to charactarise it.RenovationMan wrote: »Nah, this is all BS and geneer has just shot his bolt. No doubt he will try and wriggle out of it in the New Year by suggesting it was 'all a joke' and he hasn't really bought (especially if we see a dramatic fall in house prices). I always maintained he was a liar, and he has now lost credibility even with the other bears on this site.
Mate. The other bears on this site couldn’t care less. You – and others - however appear to care very much indeed.
Which is kinda why I did it.0 -
Frankly, I'm disappointed. When Geneer hopped in his time machine, hit the big reset button and landed back in 2009 he failed to answer the most important question - are Wagon Wheels really getting smaller?
Geneer just before the voyage to test the outer boundaries of credulity...0 -
Geneer you have made a bit of a dogs dinner with your retrospective "2009 property purchase" announcement and there does seem to be a growing multi forum consensus that you have lost all credibility.
To avoid any further confusing announcements (like your 2009 'purchase') in the coming months or years, could you confirm:
1) That you have made no other purchase or sales since 2009?
2)Also for absolute clarity could you confirm you have not made any purchases or sales pre your December 2009 one (in case you announce next week that you bought 10 BTL in 2001 that you had previously omitted to mention)
Kind Regards

This one made me laugh as well..0

Favourite quote i the article:a perfect storm of a struggling economy, public sector cuts and rising unemployment … As interest rates start to rise, prices will struggle to maintain any notable growth until 2015.
followed by:The good news is that apparently 'we're all in the is together' – with the exception of those in Kensington and Chelsea, I suspect.0 -
Yeah. Because if it didn't happen here it didn't Happen.
Iveseenthelight has managed to convince himself of the same.
Aw, I've not even posted on this thread until now.
You infatuation with me is nice.
That said, why would I be interested in discussing other forums history in here.
I've recommended that you proclaim your asstute avatar changes in the forums they are relevant too.
What's wrong, not getting a bite there?:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

Whats "this thread" got to do with it Lite?
Edinburgh has been a source of inexplicable fascination for you since I joined this forum. :rotfl:
So your being a bit dishonest here, given that only hours ago you were posting this.

Looking at the rest of the thread, you appear to have taken a fair few nibbles at the bait.
So of course given your predictable fallback position, my..lets call it "tracker" becomes highly relevant worth.
As planned.0 -

As planned.
You seem to be unable to answer these 2 innocuous questions:rotfl::rotfl:
