Yes in 2009, but to be fair he might not actually have been in a position to buy until a few years ago so buying in 2009 isn't exactly the end of the world. He might not have been earning enough to buy earlier.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

Come now Chessnorris. Your impartial observer status isn't really holding up to scrutiny.0 -
FROM THIS EPIC.RenovationMan wrote: »I made it quite clear that I popped in to see if you had answered my post, the one where I asked you why you cared so much whether people, especially me, believed whether you bought or not. Do you remember that one? I've asked it a couple of times. You haven't answered it, perhaps you didn't see it because you're so slow?
You've mentioned this twice now and I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I never gloated about any mistake - you haven't povided any figures to allow me to! I never said you made a mistake in the numbers or anything about your first month's payment being different. You are either trying to deflect, or you are so desperate to call a 'victory' that you are now making up stuff (your usual debating approach as I recall). Please show where I said any of this - put up or shut up.
I said that I would like to see your full monthly mortgage figure so we could:
a) See if they are substantial enough to really be a mortgage.
b) See if they remain the same month after month after month (I also asked you to supply more than the first 4 months worth of payments so we can see the history).
You have declined to show this proof, even though there is absolutely no reason not to unless you are hiding something. You tried to deflect by suggesting we asked for sort codes and account numbers. We are not. Even you are not so slow that you think you can be identified by the payment amount alone (or are you?)
Nothing has changed, I have been very constant in my position. You have supplied no hard evidence to convince me that you have bought in 2009 and kept it secret until 2011 for gag purposes.
To summarise my responses:
I'm still banging on about the mortgage amounts because of the reasons I have already details in this post and in this thread many times. They haven't changed, although I know you hope they will, or indeed you hope I stop asking. Why not give me a good enough excuse why you will not supply the full details?
You have supplied everything but the first digit, you say, but the blanking looks too wide for just one digit. I originally asked for the whole number and summized that you would not supply it. I was correct - you haven't and never will. I have dropped no clanger, much to your annoyance, despite your constant wriggling I have been static and have not budged.
As to your 'cutting to the heart of it'. I do not believe that you bought in Dec 2009 and kept it secret for 2 years. I have always stated on here that your back-story morphs to suit whatever argument you are having, that you change your financial circumstances like the wind and that you are shy about providing hard financial facts because you dont want to get caught in a lie. I cannot make my position any clearer than this and so cannot understand why you even asked this question.
Anyway. Let's forget the mortgage amount, you will never reveal that - it shows too much info. Why not answer the other question you have been avoiding:
WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH ABOUT WHETHER PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY ME, BELIEVE YOU HAVE BOUGHT A HOUSE OR NOT?

Yeah Nice one renovation man. I'm glad you didn't post that after initiating and engaging a multi-thread, multi page, mega-post feud.
Cos then you would end up looking very silly indeed.
Yep. Glad that didn't happen.0 -

Long may it continue? Do you really mean that? What exactly do you think is being achieved here?
Don’t you find it just a bit pathetic Derv? I’m not specifically singling out geneer or indeed just bears. I am saying ALL bears and bulls that engage in these petty arguments (including myself) should have better things to do with their time.
Fortunately I don’t particularly spend a lot of time here and I’m getting close to spending far less (if any) time here. The time that I do spend on this forum board brings nothing but dissatisfaction when I reflect upon what a waste of time it is. I will carry on with the ‘pets and pet care’ and ‘savings and investment’ forums, because intelligent discussions and information sharing takes place there. Can you put your hand on your heart and say that about this board? This place has changed dramatically in the last few years.
Doesn't anyone else feel this way, am I alone in thinking this and everyone else is content to continue spending time here achieving (what I perceive to be) very little?Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

There is no 'achievement' on this forum, there never has been. The house price discussions are entertaining (well, sometimes) nonsense whilst on the other hand the debates about wider economic issues tend to have more depth and in some cases are quite eye-opening.
It's always been this way and the personnel on this forum are ever changing - personally I wouldn't hark back to any 'good old days' because broadly speaking apart from the users things really haven't changed much as far as I can see.
My attitude has changed though - I post less and read more; I've found that makes for a more satisfying experience, for what it's worth.0
