play.com sale

Last night I saw a coat on the Play.com website for my son that his grandmother wanted to buy him for christmas, priced at £39.99, I have taken my laptop to her house this morning so she can order it but the price has gone up to £48.99 but with free delivery. So their free delivery is a total con. Its terrible that they raise the price to cover the free postage. I am very disappointed to say the least.
It was free delivery yesterday too. Play is always free delivery. They raise prices due to supply and demand, as do other websites such as Amazon.0 -
I bought 2 x 8GB micro SD cards for less than a fiver each - I could have shopped around and tried for a different price but this is absolutely fine for us, reduce from £30 almost!"There is no substitute for time."
Competition wins:
2013. Three bottles of oxygen! And a family ticket to intech science centre. 2011. The Lake District Cheese Co Cow and bunny pop up play tent, cheese voucher, beach ball and cuddly toy cow and bunny and a £20 ToysRus voucher!0 -
Could someone please advise me. I have bought my dd a wii and wii fit package for xmas and I need to get a charger for the control so that I dont keep having to buy batteries. Is this the charger for it

I'm not a computer person lol. It is £20 in Argos so wasnt sure if this is the same thing?
I've had various kind of wii chargers and they're usually rubbish. I've read some good reviews about induction style chargers. I'm planning on buying one as my current charger is naff.

IM almost certain yesterday was the last day they said they would try to beat xmas delivery. This is exactly why the sale has started today because they cant possibly get them out before christmas.
I know its the season but think your expecting miracles!!0 -

Ehhh... honestly, I'd go with Eneloops. Better if you have other stuff that takes AA's, but I swear by them. They keep their charge forever, so you can just keep a bunch of them in a drawer, ready, and they last a lot longer than most rechargables too.
The problem with my Wii charger, is that it will lose its charge really quickly after you stop charging it.

This one is £11.50 (with charger). Check out the reviews too. I paid more for mine, I think it was about £50 for a charger, 12 AAs and 4 AAAs, but even then it's a bargain. Use them for everything.0 -

I have a Wii and after trying a charging station etc, I've since gone to simply using Rechargeable AA batteries. The batteries that I find perfect for the Wii are the Sanyo Eneloop because unlike most other types of rechargebale batteries, these keep their charge! Personally I would say forget buying a charging dock, just get these batteries with a charger.
Amazon are the cheapest.
Hope this helps someone this christmas!
P.S. i don't work for Sanyo, but I do recommend these batteries.
P.P.S it seems someone has just beat me to this!!! So there are two people with good sense

I ordered something from play.com on Dec 10 - it still hasn't arrived. I emailed them with the order number - but they sent me a reply saying it had been dispachted in august (got completley the wrong order) - I really wouldn't bother with them again. Its not the company it once was - and is really only a glorified ebay now.0
