I need help in finding cheap mobile insurance does it exist? I made 2 claims this year so I feel I need I. having just taken out a new contract with orange I have 12 days left to find a alternative solution

I've just added personal belongings cover to my home contents insurance. I needed to insure an expensive laptop new for cover anywhere in the world and to do that, plus cover my iPod AND my mobile phone is £10 per month.

Most people trying to sell mobile insurance would have you believe home insurance won't cover the handset but I've been grilling of Norwich Union and they assure me my handset is insured for replacement in the event of loss, theft or accidental damage. The only thing they won't cover is calls racked up on the thing before it's blocked, in the event of theft.

A much better deal than my useless platinum insurance deal that's been £7.99 per month and when my phone broke, they wouldn't touch it until it had been sent to them for diagnostic and repair, plus they stung me with a £50 excess for a 3G phone which they hadn't been forthcoming in telling me about when I took out the deal.
