Have small portfolio. Can't get to bottom of how much I am paying in commission. When I ask , lack of transparency in replies. Two questions, is there a comparison chart enabling me to compare how much the big brokers charge to manage a portfolio. Is there a performance rating chart somewhere

Comission charges are pretty obvious on most stock broker websites, don't think I've ever had to move more than a couple of pages to find out.
As to performance chart - why do you need this for a stockbroker?0 -
You need to clarify your service. Is it a discretionary investment management portfolio or just periodically agreed changes or one where you make all the decisions?
Performance charts would be flawed as it assumes everyone is the same. A portfolio is built for the individual and their timescale. You could have 10 risk scales and a further three variations on each risk level to cater for timescale. You may also have a phased lifestyling option for the very short term. How do you compare say a long term risk 6 with a medium term risk 3? (you can but you shouldnt put them side by side but consumers would if published).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
