Cashing in a rooted android phone
I want to sell my old phone to one of the mobile "recycling" websites. Money4urmobile has the best price for my model but their t&cs say "The device must be original and meet the manufacturer’s original specifications." I have rooted my phone and installed a custom ROM. Does anyone know if this will be a problem? I really can't be bothered to reinstall the original stuff.

I doubt they'd notice really. Still it takes like 5 mins to revert to stock.0

Both root and custom rom void warranty but as Rusty says they may not notice and its easy to flash a stock rom overwriting the root and custom rom .

I once sold an 8gb iPhone that i'd jailbroken, un-jailbroken, cocked up, killed, restored as jailbroken and then installed a custom version of iOS on it as well. Cash Converters took that one.
I've also sold rooted android phones as well so it certainly can be done.0
