The little nodding thing strikes again.
  • Nothing happened what-so-ever so far. Was offered the chance to pay the increased amount just into the new year. Have ignored.

I now have a red letter:

for clarity the owner of the vehicle is my wife. The letter was addressed to me as I was silly enough to appeal after the initial 'ticket' was stuck on the car.

I am assuming that that small slip-up will not be sufficient to make me the exception that ends up actually being taken to court?

Anyway the letter is from ICC Legal Service (UK) Ltd

    NOTICE OF LEGAL PROCEEDINGS

    etc

I will ignore unless advised to the contrary by my esteemed team of experts!

    Many thanks once again...

Carry on ignoring unless you are very very unlucky to be sent proper court documents (from the court and not blanks).

It's pink not red, according to this:

And it is already shown in the letter-chain in the top sticky thread. You should surely just be playing 'PPC snap' with all the letters by now as they do match those shown in the picture previews. The info is all there in the top thread and these letters are easy to ignore when you know what to expect next. I ignored a letter-chain like this 4 years ago and would happily do so again.

Have you seen the Watchdog clip on the top thread as well? To see the forum index with all today's updated threads, just click back a step on the forum (see my signature for where to click). Sticky threads are always at the top, permanently, on any forum.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just another part of the bullsh*t that pervades this bullsh*t industry. No one will take you to court- certainly not NCP. They know better than to really waste a court fee on something they will lose.

Hence they try to get your money by threatening to do it. If they could do it they would, wouldn't they?

Keep ignoring, not long now before they give it up as a bad job.

You will have a long wait!

It's Newlyn letters next, according to the letter-chains thread. They rejoice in the fact that they are also 'bailiffs' and it says so on their letter-heading. They omit to make it clear that in the case of a fake PCN they are only acting as a toothless 'debt collector' and can/will only send letters, just like any other letter you've already had. They cannot send the boys round or affect your credit rating but do look at the preview of the Newlyn letters now as they are among the worst offenders at using wording implying ridiculous scary outcomes which, for the uninitiated, could look real.

So no heavy handed action then! :)

Ah, yes. ICC Legal Services (UK) Ltd of sunny Halesowen. And a member of the Parking Old Boys Club - aka the BPA to boot.

Just another way of dressing up a plain old simple debt collector who has all the accumulated legal powers of a coiled slug to enforce debts.

Don't worry. Stick to ignoring them.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
