I bought a cashmere jumper last week for £45 from £99 but decided to take it back last night, I was instore again today and managed to pick it up for £36 but was told it was non returnable and that they had changed their policy, it is now final reductions that you cannot return! I agree in that they have not reduced the luxury items as much as they usually do!

Another twist. marks have now dispatched all but one of my items and apparently they will be delivered tomorrow. I can't keep up with this and I'll believe it when I see it!

Another unhappy M & S customer here. Online order placed in the early hours of Tues 3rd Jan for delivery by 10th Jan. Had email yesterday afternoon advising the main item I wanted (a food steamer) was now out of stock and had been cancelled from my order. This means I am paying £3.50 delivery for the remaining items that total less than £18. Called customer services this morning and expressed my annoyance that it had taken 6 days to advise me the item was out of stock when I may have been able to find it instore if I had been advised sooner and they offered to refund the delivery charge straight away. I was also told that their system does not update in real time which is why it still allows orders to be placed when there is insufficient stock. I expressed my amazement that they should have such a system when most of their competitors are able to provide a much better service. Apparently they are looking to upgrade their systems! My advice is certainly to complain about your cancelled orders and demand the delivery charge be refunded.

It was final reductions in Dundee store today and we were also being told they were non refundable. Non refundable was fine when items were really cheap but some of the stuff was still only at half price so thought that was a bit cheeky. I saw a lovely shirt which I would have bought but it was £16 and I didn't want to take a chance my DH wouldn't like it when the price was still quite high. I did however, get a few bits and bobs for the present box. A sports trivia quiz for £1 was £3.50, a battle sudoku game (where you are timed to complete a sudoku puzzle against an opponent) at £2 from £5 and sudoku cards at £2 from £5. Also got a selection of named Christmas cards eg to Mum, Dad, Son, Aunty for 50p each prices ranged from £2.50 to £3,75.
