Heathrow airport parking recommendations

I know there is a thread to find the cheapest parking. However, I was wondering if anyone could reccommend airport parking that they have used. My husband is not keen on using any parking without a recommendation from someone as he has heard lots of horror stories - long transfer times; problems with the car on collection etc.

So can someone recommend a parking company. Our car will need to be parked for 28 nights.

Thanks, Mandy.

28 days at Heathrow ! I would give serious consideration to public transport and/or a taxi.
  • We are driving from the North East, with 3 small children, so neither public transport or a taxi would work.

I use Purple Parking frequently. Just recently I used the code TIPO (delete whatever is in the SOURCE CODE and enter TIPO) this gave me half price.....worth giving it a go especially for a stay of 28 days. They have shuttle buses that ferry back and forth to the terminals. The site itself is easy to find.

  • I can only echo what SallyD has said. Myself and my brother have both used Purple Parking recently and have found them to be a very professional and efficient outfit.

If you are signed up with Quidco, go via them and get 10% cashback.

  • You can use tesco vouchers for purple parking if you have enough. I think that the horror stories are just that - horror stories, but not necessarily the experience of the majority. I havent parked at Heathrow as live close enough to use public transport but have used 2 different valet parking services at gatwick without problems.

I've used 'Courtlands' a couple of times - booked in advance using the AA's discount. If you book in advance it is a lot cheaper. They were fine and very prompt when returning to pick us up.

I have used purple parking many times and can recommend them also.

The only caveat is that it can take 45 mins transfer if you are travelling in rush hour (12 mins to terminal one if traffic is OK).
I suspect it's the same for many other companies.

We have had no problems with them taking care of our car.

If the traffic was bad around the airport Spur Road whatever car park you were using you would be effected with the traffic queues trying to get in or out. Best to avoid arriving/departing around 9am, 3.30 and 6pm all the commuter traffic is in and around the airport. I sing Purpleparking praises because so far no problems with them, traffic they cannot do much about but if you give yourself plenty of time to take account of any hold-ups you won't be panicking. The site is just off the Spur Road so you are basically there once you have dropped the car off.
