Steam cleaner. Works a treat on teddies etc tooScience adjusts its views based on what's observed.

I used to use Milton to clean plastic toys.0

Toys such as lego can go in a pillow case or wash bag tied tightly and put in the washing machine - Lego especially comes up a treat!0

If things look grubby I can understand the desire to spruce them up in a sink of hot soapy water. It's worth remembering though, that grubby doesn't indicate germs - you can't see germs. They're everywhere.
