Ovo Energy - Economy 7
Hi All,
Firstly, I have received my first bill from Ovo and noticed that my meter readings were transposed (Day as Night and vice versa). I had this problem with our previous supplier (nPower) and when I called them they switched them around.
My problem is now I have contacted Ovo to advise them of this and make them aware they are under charging me and they have told me in order to rectify this I need to take a picture and e-mail it to them. They advised the reason they have been switched is because the third party they use must have looked at our opening readings and decided they were incorrect and switched them back.
They said they can send someone out to look at the meter but charge me £7.50 and by supplying the correct info I supplied to start with will take 4-6 weeks to correct.
Has anyone else had this problem, as I was telling them I had used more than what they billed and yet they still don't believe me.

I'm in exactly the same situation (switched from Npower to Ovo in October 11). :mad:
I have supplied the meter photograph to Ovo (at their request) and am waiting. Also waiting for Npower to recalculate my final bill.
Incidentally, my off-peak is higher than peak usage.

Hi There
we had the same issue with Spark energy and ended up switching to OVO after Spark were less than helpful, one phonecall to OVO and they asked for photographs so they could sort it as they did with you. This was last week and now having looked on myovo it seems my readings are the right way round for the first time in over a year (as I say, Spark were less than keen to sort this) I suspect the 4-6 weeks is to allow them to chase up your old supplier as this is what I was told.0
