I always find this an odd line of argument. The same thing is always thrown at Cameron. "He's a rich toff and a millionaire, why does he care about the poor?", you hear people say. Now, I disagree with a great deal of Cameron's policies and views but I won't accuse him as not caring about the poor because he's rich. I don't know the man, so who am I to judge? Just because someone is rich or from a privileged background it doesn't mean that they can't show compassion or understanding to those that don't.

well you don't really need to know the man, he told you he doesn't care about the poor by joining the tory party.

i'm not sure the "the poor" is a being with a collective conciousness.

Not so sure the privilieged elite are either...

Is being 'poor' something to be pitied?

Do you think labour want to solve the problem of 'poorness'?

i'm not sure, but i think labour are a bunch of lying thieves who do their best to destroy the country every time they are in government with their ridiculous economic policies, and the tories are not anywhere near right wing enough, if that helps?

TBF, I don't think labour ever actually TRY to ruin the country.

It just 'happens' because they in the main don't know what they are doing I think. Lots of times people invest too much gulibility in the intelligence of polliticians. There have been a few really smart ones out there, but they are in the minority.

Yes of course, they don't intentionally set out to ruin anything, they do what all politicians do which is to attempt to get re-elected damn the long term consequences. It's all about being "in power" not about improving anything (on both sides).
