Managed to get a tree (ouside one) and dove, then lots of lights to go round the roof :D Gutted we missed out on the polar bear my kids really wanted this and I almost paid full price for it the other day, something inside told me to wait though :(

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)
  • Gutted. Spent £16 buying 3 sets of soft glow LED's last thing before closing on Friday as needed to get the tree up Friday night.

    Sold for £6 now. :(

Buy the £6 ones and return using original receipt? Or is that a bit naughty?

    Same here. :(

My two are miserable due to moving and they don't tend to get too excited about much these days. Something about the bear did it for them but needless to say I didn't get one. I did get reindeer but that was a poor substitute apparently. :D

Ironically the B&Q Xmas dec ads have been showing on tv here all night. I hope people don't think they can still pop in for decs, they'll be sorely disappointed. :D

  • I went in to the Altrincham store tonight and they still have quite a few trees left, including a few of the black fibre-optic ones. There's also plenty of tinsel, wrapping paper, tree decorations - although no lights that I could see.
  • I didn't bother with B&Q this year as been too busy but will keep it in mind for next year and get myself down there hopefully in time! ;) lol

  • we went and got everything we wanted , we just stood next to the returns desk and ask the women on the tills if we could take things to check outs to pay , she was over the moon as she was rushed off her feet , and would have had to put everything back herself

so we got , 2 real trees in pots
    outdoor angel lights
    outdoor dove light
holly lights , 7 foot xmas tree
    snowman lights
300 lights for outside house , 10 m rope light, loads of wrapping paper , and name tags and baubles also went to home base in washington and got xmas name tags for 10p a packet , and they were giving away free rolls of wall paper if the wrappers were damaged , so hubby also got room to decorate as well as putting the lights up lol

I had to go out for something else today so as I was beside B&Q again, I popped back in on the offchance, just to see if anyone had returned a polar bear.:rotfl: No-one had.

I saw a large round tub of tree decs under the display tables, wish I'd thought to look there yesterday. There was probably loads at my feet and I never even saw them.

Picked up more tinsel and a few more baubles but there wasn't really anything else left.
