We've got a load of stuff to move out of a big 2 bed terrace. Supermarkets seem to have nothing available any more.
Can get loads of a4 paper boxes but no bigger. Where's cheapest to buy boxes?

I got mine from the local storage place. it was something like £15 for 10 boxes. The boxes were like 80x80x80cm
similar to the ones in argos but much cheaper http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8752233.htm0 -
If you have a Shurguard Storage Depot near you, they sell cardboard boxes, etc for packing. You can also hire folding plastic boxes with lids from HSS

I'll second Freecycle. We got shedloads for our impending house move from a lovely lady on there. Not the 'proper' packing ones, but really sturdy and several sizes."I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0

If you have a department store near you - Debenhams; John Lewis etc etc - they flat pack their boxes and recycle but were happy to supply me with as many as I wanted.0

I used to get mine from my local electrical store. The T.V boxes are perfect.
They usually collapse them to save space, but you simply make them up again. They were glad to get rid of them because they had to pay to dispose of them.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
Try yellow pages- packaging companies or even removal firms. I got hold of loads via a small local removal firm, they were large sturdy boxes, brand new. I think you could then sell them on afterwards. It's worth getting proper removal boxes, they are fit for purpose unlike a lot of smaller grocery type boxes from supermarkets.0

You want ring up your local McD's and ask them to save you some Fry Boxes, I use them all the time when I move as the boxes are quite stirdy, I use 20 boxes in all bout I don't have that much items. Give them a time and date you'll pick them up and they should do it, a reminder call would ensure you have the boxes saved and no cost too you."I AM THE GATEKEEPER OF MY OWN DESTINY" Nacho Libre
