GRC's "Keep Running" Debt Diary

Options
Hi Im Gothrockchic, I am 30 years old.

My previous diary was started as a debt diary, it then turned into a savings diary and then a spending diary. What a boring diary, I promise I wont do that again!

I started seeing my OH after a long friendship in September. In the last diary I expressed that I wanted to move to Edinburgh to pursue a career in music hopefully creating a band or getting a job in the industry. Both my OH and I both want to move to the same city next year.

So heres the deal I have two credit cards the first a Tesco CC with £100 which I hope to pay off next month as its an old balance from a few months back. I have a Barclaycard which is 0% until October next year with an estmated balance of £1500.

The plan is to save up to pay off Barclaycard, I am just paying the minimum payment and seeing it go down is now. I have almost enough but will keep the savings until my ISA interest gets paid.

I also need money saved so if I dont find a job in time I can cover a flat deposit, rent and all expenses so I think I'll need £2500 as I have friends who have taken £1000 with them struggled and worse have had to come home :(

So I hope to save £300-400 a month but realistically I need to save as much as I can so itll be more like £500. I have a lot of little jobs to do so this diary is a journey to Edinburgh. :D

Lastly many thanks to Emzilla, ZTD and all the lurkers on my last thread you have kept me going. :T

Heres to a new chapter!!! :j

  • Well today was interesting after 2 hours of tossing and turning I managed to get 3 hours sleep. No real reason why I couldnt sleep I think I was a bit hyper mind you :p

I sent an email to my contact lens supplier to reduce my direct debit to lenses only I have like 6 bottles in my box under my bed  so that may save £5 a month hopefully.

I also when through stacks of paper today and I have a large bag of paper to be recycled.

Next step is to sort out my Word on my laptop as it keeps asking for a product key.... :o
  • Just downloaded Open Office for my Word to get my CV done :D

Thats a job to do tomorrow!
  • Another achievement unlocked! I just typed my CV :j
