  • I have heard of the tremendous reductions before, but have never been lucky enough to get some, until now!

I picked up a beautiful little beaded satin clutch bag by Valeria, just 30p. The reason? One beaded strap had come loose from the lining... a couple of stitches and it is back in again.

and... a huge (1kg!) Lindt chocolate santa, which had got broken. All the pieces were still in the foil, though. £1 - for 1 kilo of Lindt chocolate! It was originally £35. I am going to make lovely Swiss chocolate sweets and treats!:j

Ha ha, listen to the original blurb for it:

Each santa is hand-wrapped in foil and then hand-polished by those Lindt Chocolatiers wearing their soft white gloves and completed with the signature gold ribbon collar with working bell.

I have to admit, the bell was nice - engraved with the name 'Lindt' on both sides, very tinkly and on a long gold ribbon, easily good enough to hang on the tree as a decoration.
  • By the time I get my a*** into TK Maxx today of course their mega sale is over and everything 'back to normal'!

Didn't notice any amazing bargains ( not surprisingly as I left it till FEBRUARY ) but picked up some wrist / ankle weights which I needed for £3.99 a really nice grapefruit reed home fragrance for £3 and a nice retro biscuit tin for £3 too...

Not much of a mega bargain - I'll have to be quicker next year! ;)

Mortgage-free Glee! Hung up my suit! Xmas Saver!
I got a couple of great bargains from their on line site.
Beautilicious Mega Hat Box Gift Set. Still retailing in many places for £20, I paid £6 (got two) and a slipper & foot care set for £4 each RRP £18 presale price £12.99.

(Haven't bother hiking to the store as they all sell different items and it is hit and miss with the bargains) So that is me we set for Christmas gifts for this year ☺
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.
  • I don't think Croydon branch is ''brimming with bargains''

Its nice to have a little hunt through whats there though..

Well you could do but if you want to get some bargains I would suggest going asap!

They always start the sales ages before their official start date. Last time it was posted on here the reductions had been done 6 days earlier and most stuff was gone. They had press advertising saying the sale was starting on xxx date but most of it was gone by then.

They had loads of £1 items (including designer jeans at £1 - awful but cheap!). Don't imagine most of it will be hanging around long enough to get dropped to 70p!
