sony ericsson k750i

Hello,
I have a sony ericsson k750i phone which worked great until recently.
The problem is with the camera, when you open the camera shutter at the back it is not recognised on the screen and comes up with the message to open it.
I asked at the CPW and they said it is possibly a software problem and they would wipe the software off and re-do it.
Any help on this, would this fix the problem, they charge just for looking at it and really wondered if it would be worth fixing! The phone itself works fine.

it is a hardware issue as the camera microswitch has been broken and needs a new switch. i think this is common with the phone being dropped

the cables are available on ebay if you feel up to doing it yourself. just search for k750i camera flex

i agree with gaming guy although you can try a seus update yourself 1st
if no good remove the back cover and check the micro swtich is still there and also check the rear slide isnt bent as this can make it miss the switch

There's been much on websites about K750i camera faults but it seems unlikely to be the software. Most likely is the cable connecting the camera to the PCB. Look here for lots of discussion and how to remedy,

Its the switch, it is poorly designed to spring switch as device is open n shut, opening your phonecase and adjusting the trigger behind the shutter should solve it.
