£40 -what would you spend it on?

  • I agree that a season ticket to the cinema would be a good option, and much less than £40 (the last time I checked, Cineworld unlimited film passes were something like £15 a month!)

Dental insurance or a healthcare plan like this. (I have no connection with the company, by the way.)

  • Thanks Oldernotwiser - I did think about a Dental Plan ( healthcare is sorted already) but there are precious few of my own teeth left.....doubt I would get taken on! Ha Ha. Great idea though.
  • Get a dog? You're still young enough to be able to look after it properly for the rest of its life, and you can get out and meet people whilst walking it and taking it to training classes etc.

Or a cat / gerbil / parrot if that's what floats your boat (the latter one my grandmother did at the age of 88, and it's given her great pleasure :D)

£40 is an awkward figure - but I'm going to try and spend it well!
It's exactly the figure DH and I each pay for a full body massage each month. And I'd give up TV before I give that up!

Not a 'beautician's' massage, but one from a really well trained masseuse who knows their way around both the fit and the not so fit body.
Signature removed for peace of mind
  • Thanks for the thought about a dog. Not sure about that as we were thinking of heading away a lot for the next few years and wouldn't want to be leaving the poor thing in kennels all the time - but a Massage every month........! Now you're talking..........that's definitely on the list.

I know what I'm like! Something else will come along and it will get spent as soon as I "need" it.....

Saving it up seems to be a problem.
