Many thanks to the OP for flagging this up !

Got the points and £51 credit. I went for 6 single reds instead of a case as I like my vino full bodied .

Wine Name Price Quantity Line total
    Montaria Reserva 2009 £9.99 1 £9.99
    Liz Richardson Shiraz Lagrein 2010 £9.99 1 £9.99
    Kimbao Syrah Malbec 2010 £10.99 1 £10.99
    Carmen Stevens' Angels Reserve Shiraz 2010 £8.99 1 £8.99
    Galodoiro Vinho Regional Lisboa 2009 £8.99 1 £8.99
    Arabella Reserve Shiraz Viognier 2010 £9.99 1 £9.99

    Subtotal £58.94
    Delivery £4.99
    Account balance £51.00
    Total to pay £12.93

A very good deal for this money. Tops up my stock of about 40 bottles that was running low .

I am sure I didn't check anything to become an angel - have logged into my account and it only shows the one voucher for £40 so I am puzzled - I can't see anywhere in my account details where it states if you have opted for this.

There's an offer after your purchase which doesn't mention anything about 'Angel', but does offer you a £40 voucher. It also states that 'you have nothing to lose', which implies that it costs you nothing. However, going back onto the site, it seems this does indeed make you an 'Angel' and it seems that there is an automatic charge of £20 per month. That said, it seems to go into your account to spend - so it's still 'your' money, but it's no longer in your bank account!

You can cancel it online under 'Account'. You can't remove your card details until you remove yourself as an 'Angel'.

Oops, thank you very much for this precious information. I am glad I didn't spend my "free" £40 yesterday. :D

  • I must be being really thick...but i can't see how to find out names of wines to review, and i can't remember how much any wine I do drink is (although usually around a fiver to be fair). Am I doing it wrong? Is there another page I haven't found or something?

Wow! thanks OP-just ordered-hope it arrives ok. I too have ordered the Arabella pack as recommended above - much simpler than choosing singles as for £4-99 I'm not really bothered what I get-it will all get drunk!

I saw this and definitely pressed the "no I have enough money button" - the higher amount was in my account when I was selecting wines. Will log in this morning and if it is still there and I still can't see if it says I am an "angel" in my account details I will email them

    Thank you

When you click review you then type in the name of the wine yourself, I had another tab open with Tesco groceries on it so I knew the prices.

    Hope that helps x

You don't need to know the prices, you can just review with the name of the wine...wether you like it or not...and give it a heart rating, you can leave the comments and price blank. Also if you find a wine that isn't in the database already you get 300 points meaning you only need to review 10 bottles.
