Well done Christoph and yes, tell all your friends and family so they won't do anything rash like pay a scam invoice!

Car park parasites really don't care if their "hosts" lose money as a result of their activities. Why anyone hosts them is one of life's mysteries. There must be some pretty stupid people sitting on the boards of some of these retailers.

I will give you a clue.

You would have to be a damn fool to pay it.

    Are you a damn fool?

    Answer:

    Yes- pay them
    No- Ignore them.

Hope that clarifies it for you!

If it was a pay and display car-park, where you wouldn't have got the money back (not a "spend £5 and get your parking charge refunded" car-park), it could be argued that the land-owner has suffered a small loss of whatever the displayed P&D rates are (so if you were there for 10 minutes and it cost 60p an hour, you owe 10p).

If it was a car-park you would have got your money refunded so there is no loss, there is no loss to Parking Pie so ignore them
