Parking eye cancelled my ticket after appeal :)

Hiya Everyone,

I posted a couple of weeks ago stating how parking eye had issued us with a parking charge,

My husband was driving at the time and was actually doing some volunteering work for a local sailing club.
After posting on here we decided to ignore the charge and last week we got our first reminder notice. Hubby, failing to listen to my advice of ignoring, contacted the guy who he was volunteering for who in turn contacted the owner of the club.

He advised to appeal with Parking Eye and hope that they contact him. As dopey hubby already starting the process of emailing everyone i thought i would email the owners of the land (who employ PE) who again said appeal with PE. So i sent an appeal to them, (i did this as hubby is far from tactful lol) forwarding on the email trail of everyone who stated that they would ask pe to cancel,

we then receive an email from PE which completely shocked us, reading stories on here of the appeals procedure being a complete farce,

Dear Sir / madam,

Re: Parking Charge reference 11****/3*****

We can confirm that this Charge has been cancelled and there is no outstanding payment due on this account.

Kind Regards
ParkingEye Team

:T please don't think I am praising PE in any way, as far as I am concerned they are thieving *insert expletive of choice here* I think the thing that helped our cause was contacting everyone we could and forwarding those emails to PE :D

  • hi, wonder if anyone could shine a light on my PE problem at the moment. I parked in Parc LLandudno on 3/12/11 and took advantage of the 2 hours free parking. Before the two hours where up I paid for a ticket which gave me another 3 hours parking. Luckily I have the parking ticket as evidence although I don't have any receipts to prove I spent in their shops, and cannot send statements as I paid for my purchases with cash! I have sent an email to them with a photograph of my parking ticket showing them that I was with the time limit. They have now sent two letters posted on the same day saying they need proof of my purchases! Any ideas what I should do next would be appreciated!

What you do is ignore these clowns from now on. You do not owe them a penny. For further reassurance please. read all the other threads on here that deal with private parking tickets.

As for "proof of purchases", what's that all about? Are they implying that if you visit several shops but don't buy anything in any of them then you are breaking their silly rules. More stupidity from these idiots.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Thanks for that, after reading all the posts I'm feeling a bit better now knowing I'm not the only one. Defiantly wont be going to Parc LLandudno, it's put me right off the place, I will be telling all my friends too, hopefully lots more people will become aware of PE. Cheers!

    It's either
1 - Parking Eye trying to show their buddies at the PPC Club, sorry BPA, that they do actually cancel invoices once in a while
2 - They cancelled your invoice but issued a "cancellation charge" to the poor sods whom contracted them.

I'll go with no.1. without firm stats I guess that less than 1 appeal in a 1000 is allowed and only then to 'prove' the integrity of the appeals process.

whoops! there I go again, getting all cynical...

Yeah - i dont for one second believe that they cancelled it out of the goodness of their hearts (PE & Hearts, my god i am funny ;) )

I work for a company who employs Premier Parking (Valley Enforcement) and i have previously asked them to cancel tickets with no issues or charges to the company, thats why i also sent emails to the owners of the land although i didn't for one second think they would cancel it.

I would say i am now £60 better off but i have just had to give a lady £200 for accidentally putting a mahoosive dent in her wing :(

this household and cars have been a bad combination lately :o

Cynical about a PPC. Surely not!
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
  • Many thanks to this site.

I have just received a PCN from Parking eye and at first I was going to pay it strait away.
I was not with the car at the time and I am also doubting the fact that the car was over the time limit. This time limit is going to be checked out by a friend in the next day or so.

However from reading all the information on this and other sites I am not going to make any contact what so ever with Parking Eye.
Normally I would pay strait away if I were guilty or appeal if I were innocent, but it would appear that if you do appeal then you admit that you are in the wrong.

I do hope that Parking Eye read this site and that the shopkeepers at the retail park realise what damage they are doing to the local business.

My whole family and friends have all agreed that we shall not be visiting those stores again.I can not imagine how much revenue they will loose by this.

As regards to Parking Eye,how can they be allowed to attempt to threaten or intimidate people in such a way with these Parking Notices.
