You're not a valet type Nearly?

There's a place near us that charges £8 for a mini-valet and about 4 blokes work on your car for a good twenty minutes. I'm considering asking them how much they actually get paid though as I'm worried it's slave-labour.

On a totally unrelated note, if I was looking to start up a money laundering operation one of the first options I would consider would be a hand car wash.

Regarding the issue of cleaning your car.

You should always do it yourself using two buckets. One for the car shampoo and one for rinsing the mit when you have cleaned a section fo the car. Work from the top of the car down (small sections at a time) Also you should never use a sponge.

If you take your car to a car wash where they use a sponge then just watch them as they fail to rinse the sponge and as a result rub dirt and grit onto your car.

Putting your car through a wash that uses rollers is also bad for your paintwork.

Just wash it yourself. Give it a good polish and use a quality wax. Although you shouldn't polish every time you wash the car as polish lifts off a very thin layer of paint.

You can also use a clay bar. This stuff gives your paintwork a real clean

When you say 'two bench presses' do you mean just two (so weight lifting rather than weight training) or did you mean two lots of reps? I don't weight train now but when I did I used to do 1 x 10 reps of bench presses, followed by 10 butterfly curls (and other exercises).

Nowdays I just cycle and run though, trying to motivate myself back into swimming but it's not very enticing in the winter plus I don't like the crowded lanes in the public baths.

I am starting back to the gym soon, well after I get over an injury.

Used to train like a nutter a good few years ago for around 9 years. 3 X sets of 8 at 80% max weight (1 min recover inbetween) on lose weight and targeted equipment. Only variation was 3 X sets 21's on arms (7 lifts 0-90deg, 7 lifts 90-180 deg, 7 lifts 0-180 deg) again 1 min rest between.
Would do about 1.30hr - 2hr every other day, with about 20 mins per session being cardio.
I was fairly pumped but nothing major as I did not touch the chemical assistance.
Just going back to do once a week soon to put some timber back in place. :)

But read up on how to use one, or you could end up with a very scratched car or one covered in bits of stuck on claybar. (thankfully not from experience)

But they are good pieces of kit for removing all kinds of junk from you paint perhaps most importantly tiny shards of metal inbeded in your paint you pick up from every day driving.

My gym closed 5 weeks ago as they were moving to new premises. They said it would take 2 weeks and even sent me a text to say it would be open on such a date. When i rang to check they said they hadn't even got the keys to the new place yet!

Im just hoping that muscle memory is a true fact!

You will be fine, I have hardly trained for 9 years now, I still look like a brick out house, but with a larger mid section. :)

But TBH, you lose some strength over time but muscle mass does seem to stay to an extent. My arms, legs, chest are all around the same size as when I trained, just a lot less strength and slightly lower density (perhaps marriage and a kid really are hard work :)).
It is a lot easier to get back in to the same shape than get to the shape in the first place with muscles if you ask me. (I would say it would take me about a year to get back to the same shape I was, where it took me about 5 years'ish to get there)
TBH I think the hard part will be training it off though as I get older, it ain't going to be long before it decides it aint going to hang round any longer. :)
