  • Hi Penny,
Like the plan of attack on the store cards, KILL them!!

Did Tesco give you a voucher for £10 off an £80 shop? I got an email about it today, might be worth a look.

Made a profit on ebay of £27.56 on four of DDs old jackets and yesterday Tesco's s/s till gave me 2 x 20p coins instead of one, so i'm adding that to the sig!
Need to work out what to put on ebay next, with this weather might be best to put winter woolies on??

We're having leftover stew tonight and i picked up a Swiss roll in the Co-op for 75p, so that's pudding sorted! xx

  • Hi PWD, yes i got the voucher, don't know if i will use it though, never spend that much in Tesco nowadays as i tend to use lidl and then Tesco/sainsbury for things i can't get in Lidl.

Well done on the ebay sales, i have some summer bits on ebay and doesn't look as though they are going to shift, think i have put them on a bit early.

Stew sounds good, think we are just having yoghurts for pud tonight.
  • Good morning, its cold and damp here, really do hope that May is going to be a warm month.

Child ben has hit bank acount so i have paid L& redout£ off, so thats another £26.24 paid off debt:), trying to work out if i can pay any more off NEXT today might just hang fire until Monday when i get paid, i know that with past experience if i have very little in my bank account something will need paying and i will end up using credit card.

Bought L!dl cooking bacon yesterday as i thought it would be good for quiches, pies etc, opened it up last night as i was going to freeze half and its all Gammon pieces:D, 1 whole piece gammon and several half size pieces, really pleased as it was only £1.69, i never buy gammon as i think its quite expensive but love it, so its gammon and egg for tea tonight and there will be enough meat left over to make a quiche, will defo buy it again.

ebay is no change, have a few bids but seems really slow, have a couple of days until things end so i might get a few more bids, have a couple more items to list but i'm waiting for a free listing weekend.

Off to get ready for work have a good day.
  • Feeling a little sick/scared and totally p!$$ed of with myself, i have sat down and added up my debt, which has gone down slightly and hubbies debt which seems to have gone up and i'm so mad we are in the position we are in:mad:. But there is no one to blame but us, i can't at the minute bring myself to type how much it is as i'm still shocked and seeing it in front of me on the screen might just tip me over the edge but it has given me a kick up the backside and made me stop and think that bumbling along paying dribs and drabs is not OK.

I might list it in my Sig slowly as each statement pops through the door:eek:.

We are swimming along at the minute and able to make payments ok, but what if something happened, truthfully we would be knack£r£d and it needs to be dealt with, so here we go heads out of my backside, lightbulb is shining bright and i'm going to get myself into gear.

Sorry i'm waffling i need to get it off my chest.

So today i nipped into town after collecting children from school to get a birthday present for Ds friend, first thing i did was walk into halifax and paid £30 off DH halifax credit card:), then nipped into poundland spent £6 on brown paper, envelopes and tape for ebay parcels, spent £4.58 in the works on birthday present and £2.59 in home bargains on cling film, noodles and stir fry sauces.

I have also listed 2 more items on ebay since getting home, they will probably only sell for 99p each but its more money in the pot.

  • Thanks mummy, really glad of your support. Sorry to hear you might be made redundant, thats the sort of thing i'm really scared of, will catch up with your diary later.

DD has just asked me to buy a new DS game for her as her best friend has got it, have told her no, that i can't afford it at the minute as i need to pay some bills, she just said ok and is sat watching TV, need to do this more.

    Hi Pennywise

Sounds like you've had a full blown LBM, not a nice feeling I know x

At least you know the full extent and can attack it head on xxx
  • Thanks choo, onwards and upwards.

Had a yummy tea of gammon, egg chips and peas and fruit for afters.

have just checked ebay, bids are still slow, most items end Fri/sat/sun so hopefully with it being nearly payday for people it might pick up yet.
  • Morning, feling a bit more motivated this morning, i can't mope around and feel down as nothing will get done and it won't help the situation, all i can do is keep going and try and sort it out.

£8 has hit bank account from paypal, so i have paid it straight off N£xt, new statement for them hasn't been updated yet.

Off to make packed lunches for me and children.

Hey pwps I think we all have moments where we feel sick about our debt, my OH was made redundant and we managed, I dont know how but you always find a way :) OH is back to work now and the debt is slowly reducing, I just need to encourage him to pay more than there asking then we can get debt free sooner, he is coming round to my way of thinking its just taking a while haha

Anyways hope your ebay items start getting some better bids soon :) have a good day everone :)

    xx
