But u didn't notify them of the change. If you don't notify them of the change, then they can take it back from the start of the claim. They don't know when the change in circumstances happened because you failed to notify them4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Did you also inform them of your £10,000 savings as this would affect your eligibility for CTB as well?0

I think ONW is reffering to this from a thread you started in October...
DLA, inheritance and ESA troubles
At present, I receive 372 in DLA each month and am due for around 10,000 in savings. My question is of my eligibility to continue receiving DLA after I receive the savings for which I'm due. Furthermore, is it also possible that I can claim ESA and receive those savings? And if I failed a medical screening for ESA, would that illicit a block on my DLA?
Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated!0 -
I'm starting to think that the council have several different issues they need to resolve with the OP rather than just a query over a second occupier.
The best thing the OP can do is to ring the council first thing on monday to ask why the benefit has been adjusted and they should be able to give him the reasons why.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -

I've just received another letter today stating that I should start paying 120 per month towards what's owed, and the total is from March this year to March next year exceeding 1000 pound -- I don't understand why it costs me so much in council tax for this property? (It's a band
And I can't afford that either due to my expenses! 0 -

Could you clarify what you mean by this post because it seems that this money (an inheritance?) could be the source of your problems.0 -
