Paying fine whilst appealing - NPS??

Hi All

i got a ticket parkig outside my own flat from Northern Parking Services. Ther permit wasnt visibsle which is why they gave me the ticket. I have 14 days to pay the cost, and any appeals can only be done in writing only but i must also pay the fnie and a successful appeal will result in a refund.

The question is should i be paying the fine whilst appealing, or should i just send the appeal in, is there any comeback if i dont pay the fine?

Also what should i send along with my appeal, i am inclusing photocopies of my permit and tenancy agreement, and a utility bill, is there anything else i should include?

Thanks,

Neither! It's a scam, do NOT 'appeal' as it will just be an admission of who was driving (which they currently do not know).

You have NOT got a fine. Read the sticky threads by Crabman (at the top) and watch the Watchdog video linked on one:

HTH, don't even consider taking this fake PCN seriously! It really is a con, believe me, even though your Managing Agent has presumably authorised those scammers to carry out their protection racket in the car park, that does not make it a real fine.

There is no comeback if you ignore it, just threatogram letters sent to the registered keeper (scans of the letters are in the top sticky under various private parking companies - PPCs to us here - they all use the same types of letters). Do not take the bait, do not respond. File it and all the threats, and they will just give up.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Seriously, ask yourself, what possible incentive would they have to allow your 'appeal' once they have your money? Correct, none whatsoever

Don't reply at all, just ignore

Northern Parking Services - trading title of Northern Parking Services Ltd - is owned by one Spencer Freedman who would seem to run the business from his home in Newcastle despite the fact that the registered office is at an accommodation address in Bristol. He also has another business called "Cut Price Corner Ltd" and one might be tempted to suggest that that said it all. NPS are NOT members of the BPA AOS and so must be limited to making written applications to the DVLA for registered keeper details.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
