there are proberly loads of links somewhere here, i will leave it to a expert to find them for you .
when i make it, i use mince, onion, garlic, tom puree, 2 tins of chopped tomatoes, spoon of basil and oregemi. adding a handfull of fresh basil at the end of cooking is lovely. i also add carrot, corgettes and mushrooms. just dont cook it too long as it will be too soft. :0 hope that helped

What I do for 2 adults and a child:
500g mince meat
1 onion
some bacon
1 tin chopped tomatoes
basil/oregano
beef stock cube
a little bit of red wine
and basically throw it all in and cook on medium for 2hrs, adding another 1/2 tin of chopped tomatoes half way through.Mummy to beautiful 5yr old girl and a gorgeous 1yr old boy:D1 -

when i make my sauce i finely dice two sticks of celery, 2 carrots ( depending on size, sometimes only 1 if huge) and an onion. i fry this slowly in frying pan in oil and butter until softened. then i add 500 g mince beef and cook through. then add a table spoon of flour and pour in 300ml stock , tinned chopped tomatoes, half teaspoon of sugar, salt pepper and nutmeg. then once mixed through i put into the slow cooker and leave for a good few hours.
recipe if off top of my head so hopefully not missed anythign out. this is a mary berry recipe , i've been using it since hubby and i got together 10 yrs ago and it has never failed to turn out scrummy.0
