Thanks for this am tempted but there have been some terrible reviews online about Travelodge. They were also featured on Watchdog as well not so long ago because there were so many complaints no doubt? Bit of a gamble I suppose what you get.

  • I always have a few places in mind that I want to look for rooms for and have a look at tripadvisor before the sale-that way I have a bit better idea where I might want to steer clear of ;).

the one in Kings cross was a bit noisy as its right against a busy road, but for 19.50 a night i couldn't complain as it was comfy, had towels and toiletries and for central London was ideal

You get what you pay for with Travelodge - we've stayed in several over the last year, some good (Fairways Inverness, Perth Broxden and A9, Stirling) and some that were so-so (M6 Lancaster), but when you're only paying £10 - £19 a room, then its not to be sniffed at.

If you're looking for 5* luxury, then Travelodge isn't for you. If you want somewhere to put your head at night, then it fits the bill perfectly!

I think travelodge are fantastic! For me, it's cheap clean overnight stay for £2.50 per person including as much tea and coffee as you want .... that's less than the price of a single coffee in starbucks or costa!!!

    What's to complain about!

I agree there's nothing to complain about at this price, I have a course that I have to get the train for but if I can get one of the £12 rooms it will be cheaper than paying for a train ticket. I won't be expecting anything special but have already looked at trip advisor to make the best choice.
