Christmas gift idea for 12 year old boy?

Hi everyone,

I have just realised i have one present left to buy and it is for a 11/12 year old boy.

I have no idea what to buy! Does anyone with any children this age have any thoughts of what would make a good gift?

Price range of no more than £20 please :)

Thanks to anyone who can help me! x

A superdry t-shirt would probably go down well. I know the ladies ones are £20, I'm sure the mens will be the same.

My daughter and her friends (boys and girls) all seem to love these.

Do you know what he is into?

Does he like crafty things? You can buy really cool little horrid experiment sets for like £7? If he is into games how about a gamstation voucher? Can you ask his parents if there is any dvd/game he wants? IF you need to bulk a present just add a selection box or some thing?

I brought my friends 13 year old

    - a fossil explore set
    -Tube of sweets
-a watch where you can put bugs in to look at them closely before realising them?

  • I he's into the outdoors (camping, hiking, bushcraft etc) I would recommend a firesteel, they can be bought from camping stores for about £8-12. A bit different and sparks/fire always fascinate boys. You can also get 'survival' kits for about £10-15 from go outdoors etc which have survival blankets, whistles, glowsticks etc.

You can't go wrong with Lego - perhaps one of the more "technical" lego kits?
  • ask the parents of the child what he's into and save yourself worrying if you've got the right present or not! :D

The new Lee Evans DVD? I've never met a 12 year old boy yet that doesn't love Lee Evans :)

Everyone is asking me what to get my 12 yo DS for christmas...I've had enough trouble myself finding stuff lol. He ants to learn the piano so we got him a keyboard to start him off, so one relative is getting him a good set of 'brand' headphones (I'm not daft!:D)

Computer games are usually around £30 and over so a £20 gift voucher for GAME is always useful.

Other than that - do you know what DVD's he likes? There are always box sets for under £20.

Cash or maybe a voucher for JD Sports? my 12 year old son loves cash, trainers or t-shirts from JD Sports. Any vouchers go towards those items :)
  • A skateboard or some brands of skooter cost less than £20 and come in a nice big box to put under the tree too ;)
