    COPPER condensate pipe?
  • macman wrote: »
Does that pipe lead to the condensate drain? It will either be routed outside to a drain or soakaway, or into a nearby sink waste. if that's all the problem is, it just need that joint securing.

    No idea. :D:D:D:D

Any advice on who to call and costs involved? I'm not going to be able to solve the problem myself, obviously :)

PS thanks to everybody responding and being helpful

PPS now the leak has nearly gone, it seems to be worse in the morning when it's switched on. Something wrong with the pressure too, it can go to 3, and then back to less than 1 when cold, and needs topping up once a day or more.

Well if you can't be bothered to go and look, why expect any advice?
You appear to have 2 separate issues, so get a GSR RGI in to sort it out.

Can't advise on who to call - I'm DIY but if your pressure is rising up to 3 Bar, then that suggests that the pressure vessel is either knackered or that it needs re-pressuring. That pipe where the leak is is the pressure release valve outlet pipe, which should go though the wall to the outside.
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:

there is no need to be rude, if you read my first post the only advice I'm asking is about costs etc, people here have been very helpful and have given advice on the actual fault, which I'm grateful for.
But the fact is I need to decide who to call, and do it asap.

I understand now, yes it goes through the wall, but I cannot check the other side because access is through another property, adjacent to mine.
Will try and have a look, in case it's blocked on the other side.
I thought it would be something more complicated to do

I wasn't being rude. You were given advice that required a simple check on the condensate drain configuration. You declined to do that, so it's not possible to give any more advice.
No once can tell you the likely costs because it's not possible to diagnose the fault within seeing it-only offer possible causes.

£180 is too much. It's not an emergency so keep seeking advice and keep looking around for cheaper quotes.
