I was also due a parcel from Thorntons today which was coming via Yodel- guaranteed for today- guess what that hasn't arrived either.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. They go via the old HDNL network, currently backlogged. Theyve suspended all guarenteed services and Collect+ is running slow.
False information given. HDNL side are not backlogged. We were for 2 days at the beggining of last week due to the xmas influx but we had everything running smoothly in no time. No services are currently effected unless there is an issue with the parcel itsself IE... no label, incorrect or incomplete addresses.
Trust me, the amount of parcels that just have an house name and nothing else is unbelievable.
JJD********** numbered parcels are indeed DHL side orders (ELC has been on the DHL side for quite a while). When HDNL receive these in error they are rounded up and sent to DHL side the same day.
When YODEL formed, the very first thing they should have implemented was "one labelling and tracking system", would have saved a lot of trouble..............0 -
Never had a reply from ELC customer services to explain or apologise for the poor service. But I have had another delivery from Yodel and one from Hermes not a delivery van in site looks like they have resorted to using private individuals who deliver in there own cars. Today I had a young boy with his mum delivering my parcel....I have to say at least they knocked on my door and delivered the parcel.0

We saw someone in a tatty van with a sellotaped sign on the side saying "yodel", parked up with the doors open, parcels strewn around, no one to be seen ... how unprofessional are they prepared to let their image get?
Anyway ... Yodel have made it through to the next round of "worst company 2011", if you are dissatisfied please vote here and let's give yodel the fame they deserve for ruining too many christmas present plans!

It's Yodel against Hermes in this round ...0 -

Maybe for you guys in Beehive or Blackpole
But the HDNL side is backlogged I know this for a fact as we are dropping collections from the runs and the CSC is getting more redelivery requests for these barcode numbers. Resolve is full of unanswered queries. Tell me that aint back logged
As for having 2 seperate systems. I guess you haven't read up on NWoW on the intranet.0 -

Well I know for a fact our depot is clear as I have seen it with my own eyes.
Tomorrow should be an easy day for the 1st time in 4 months.0 -
I've had daily deliveries all this week from Yodel/HDNL with parcels from Very arriving within 12hrs of placing the order (9pm-9am) so obviously no backlog in their depot!!
Shame I can't say the same for the HDL/Yodel cowboys who appear to have lost my Boots S&G orders this week “You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
