In praise of Philips Customer Service

Just thought I'd post a quick message to praise Philips on their customer service.

I bought a Sonicare toothbursh 23 months ago from very. It broke last month, so I contacted Philips about it and once proof of purchase was established they contacted me yesterday saying that they will replace the sonicare toothbrush (even without inspecting the current uinit to see if it can be repaired) and should hopefully arrive enxt week.

Their email system is a bit dodgy as you can't reply directly to their emails but other then that I am very impressed by their service and would definitely encourage me to buy from them in the future.

Cheers Philips!

  • I had exactly the same experience. My sonicare developed a small fault (the lighted panel stopped working) and they sent me another one.

Amazon, where I purchasesd it, also sent me a replacement.
  • Just to say, I received my replacement yesterday (only a week after saying they would dispatch it) and they actually sent a more expensive model through so am even more impressed.

I believe my consumer right say that the company where I bought it from (Very) should have actually replaced it but they were playing hardball and Philips weren't!

So again congratualtions Philips, you have guaranteed a future purchase from me at least!

That's great. Mine also broke after around 2 years but they told me on the phone it wasn't repairable as it was the shaft/motor thing that broke. They wouldn't replace it with a new one but did give me a code to get 20% off a new one bought through their website which was great.

Unfortunatly, even though the toothbrush was amazing it cost £150 a couple of years ago and is now £170 on their website so I have had to downgrade to a much cheaper oral b. as replacing them at that price every couple of years just isn't doable.
