Vodafone have cancelled my upgraded contract
I recently upgraded my contract which I've had for well over ten years, in store got new iPhone 4s on an 18 month contract added to what I had left, yesterday was the day my contract was due to end which is what I wanted to happen about a month before I upgraded, I got my phone and increased my plan etc but yesterday and today I couldn't get any calls and today my phone tells me I've got no credit. I checked online and my account has me as a payg customer, I also have two other contracts one for another phone and an ipad2 they are fine.
I also phoned vf customer service today who could only tell me that I was a payg customer and that was it I tried to tell her I had upgraded last month to no avail.
So here I am with a new iPhone 4s and no contract on it after paying one months money!!!
Any thoughts on what to do?

You could say and do nothing if they are insistent that you are a PAYG customer. A quick search online shows that the handset you have retails at between £400-600 for the handset and you have paid one month of your contract (£35?). A nice Xmas bonus for you and you can take out a contract from elsewhere and sell the handset netting a nice profit. (this isn't the ethical thing to do though lol)If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

You can sell it me for £250 and take out a new contract of your own lol0

Giff gaff have a nice SIM only £10 pay monthly deal including unlimited data usage (and calls and texts - can't remember how many though). But I would get it it writting from vodafone that you are PAYG.0

If you filled in any paperwork then at some point stock reconcilliation will it the two together and they'll want payment. It maybe they have lost it but chances are it's jsut wrongly setup and will be caught later.0

Thanks all, managed to speak to someone helpful at customer services today and they put me through to someone, although first of all they were telling me I had to send my iphone back to them!!! Got it all worked out anyway, and contract now sorted even better is the same contract is now £5 a month cheaper so quite happy about that.
Didn't want to leave it as I knew it would come back and bite me in the bottom in the New Year and great to be in touch with the world again, felt naked without the use of the phone and email etc and refused to 'top up', lolThanks to all the competition posters.0
