Can I send text message to a mobile from my PC online?

Sorry if a thick question! I need to send a text (which may end up being long so using a keyboard is a definate advantage) and I get very poor reception at home. Its chucking it down and I don't fancy walking up the road far enough to get a decent signal. Can I send a text (free or otherwise) online to a UK mobile? Anyone recommend a site I can use please?

Just write free online text messages uk into google and loads of different ones come up.

Thanks, but the half dozen I've tried so far have a very low character limit, and some seem to have a fee to the recipient to access it.

Guess I'll just have to put it off until tomorrow.

If you are on O2 you get 10 free online texts a month, from 'my O2' on the online O2 store

Thats the one i use when i need it and there is no charge for the reciever and you can get a delivery report

Thx, had a payg for ages but never heard of this.

120 character limit, it's 30 a month atm.

Can't give you the link as a new user, but on home page select email & communicate, scroll down, select tools, send a text.
