I remember when Cadbury Fingers (CF's) always used to be 99p or £1.09 and BOGOF - not that long ago either.

Image how many single packs of CF's they would sell at £1.89 per pack, or indeed Pringles at £2.49!!!
The 3 items works out OK, but the single pack price is a scandal.

Strange way to try and "hoodwink" their customers, though to be fair their customers aren't that daft and understand what's going on.
much better offers out there - Lidl's half-priice weekend offer this weekend offer much nicer biscuits than CF's (IMHO).

I think Pringle prices must be the rip-off joke of the year! Last year, I regularly paid about 75p on regular offers. Do they imagine we've forgotten they were never £2.79 (unless you bought them from a hotel mini-bar:rotfl:).

To go off the point slightly, I'm a regular Asda shopper but I'm finding even they are taking the p*** lately. I've bought loads of veg in Aldi this week, some tinned veg and water biscuits. The difference in prices is huge.

Do you imagine there'll be even more price wars in 2012 or will Aldi and Lidl just put their prices up?:(

I can't say I've ever seen Pringles on sale at £2.49 a tube, and if I did I don't think I'd see many people buying them!!! Even £1.99 is a rip off!

You need to pick and choose.
Pringles at £2.49 is a very silly price, you can always get them under £1.
I never used to pay more than 79p for Pringles, but 3 for £2.49 is acceptable I suppose (83p per tub).
12 cans of pop for £1.99 was a great bargain I think. Not often you will get that price now for branded drinks in a can.
Morries seem to be promoting quite a few BOG2F deals and the J20 was also a decent deal - 12 bottles for £3.59.

    Farmfoods have been doing 2 packs of 10 J2O for £5 for a while.(only 250ml) but my kids love them & 25p a bottle.:)

I remember a time when Pringles were regularly 49p. Of course this was in the days of Safeway, and as we all know they soon went under.

I'm popping down to Morrisons tomorrow, does anyone know if the Pepsi offer is still on? Haven't been there in a while and the Morrisons website is near-useless.

I don't like Pringles so I save even more by not buying them. :)

Thanks, that's a pretty good every day deal.
There is a Farmfoods near my brothers house, so might pop in sometime.

  • Sorry to go off topic slightly but Aldi 's do an equivalent of Pringles in store and my 14 year old DD tells me they taste exactly the same as Pringles - cost is £0.85p.

the j2o offer was a good one, even cheaper than home bargains where i normally buy them, the pringles one was just daft which probably explained why in the store i use the pringles weren't shifting but one poor girl was topping up the j20s constantly
