Re the over taking ours was a 1.2 it overtakes liek you'd expect for a 1.2

It's ok for a bit on the motorway but going over 70 feels a bit like thrashing it so best around town as said. If you do want to overtake things their is an initial bit of pep but it quickly runs out of steam so plan them properly. Given the fact they are fairly tall with skinny tyres they are certianly not sporty and don't make you want to push on.

If all you need is a low insurance, reliable motor to get from A to B with some luggage or passengers it'll be fine.

    5t.

Nail, head, firmly struck. Thank you.:)

These have got to be one of the cheapest small cars on the used market due to the badge/image factor?

good cars if a bit tinny electric windows sound like they are going to break their cables
front suspension a bit old fashioned
discs and pads are a fortune
they eat rear wheel bearings so keep your eye on them
    never had an auto
quite confident it was a suzuki engine rather than those vauxhall engines even though its basically the same engine anyway

main thing is rust, they rust bad bad underneath so if you intend keeping it, it really needs more protection than the non existant factory option

economy is good ,capacity in the back with the seats down is ginormous, just watch your fingers when shutting tailgate
