Fridge is already there - so can be used for the wine! Going to my parents for christmas dinner anyway!

Looks as if its now been delayed again, to January.

This house purchasing is more stressful than it looks!

Thank goodness I'm not in a chain or anything

  • Oh no ... after you got so excited too!!! I think we might be a Jan completion if we get over the current hurdle. I definitely agree on the stress front ... I'm sleeping so badly at the moment.

They've been pushing for a quick completion since the start and yet take absolutely ages to do everything.

The latest excuse is that they have to come home and take there stuff out of the house.
The house is empty and has been since this process started and has very little furniture in it! The sales has been agreed for 4 months, you think they would have sorted that bit out by now!

I would love to tell them to stuff their house, all they have done is mess me about since the start!

  • Really feel for you lazer! Have you exchanged? If so, then at least you know that it is going ahead.

Our offer was accepted in August but, as we are in a chain of 4, it has taken quite a while, but hoping to exchange next week - although the solicitor has been saying "nearly there" for about 2 months . . .

    Best of luck!

Nope - that was meant to happen today but didn't

All i want is to move in now! With my work I only get fixed holidays, so was hoping to get everything done over the xmas holidays - but oh well

Good luck with yours - hope it all goes according to plan now

  • on the day of sale offer them 5k less, but only on the last day. seller will accept in this market.

My buyer did this  On the day of exchange they asked for a £1200 allowance to buy a burglar alarm. Of course I agreed, I wasn't going to jeopardize the sale for a measly £1200! but... I was really angry and I'm afraid it showed when I was cleaning/clearing the house.
