Quite annoyed at my jobcentre adviser

Shooting the messenger isn't going to solve the problem is it?
As I read it SarEl was simply explaining what the rules ARE, not making any comment on what she thought they should be.0 -

Good God can't anyone read any more? I am not telling her to move. I am not telling her that public transport is wonderful. I am saying that the JobCentre do have the ability to remove restrictions - and they do. Whether this spplies to the OP or not I can't say - but that is between the OP and the JobCentre isn't it?0 -
It is a temp-perm job, just over the min wage so financially I could not move to the city for this job, rent in the city is higher I have debts and no deposit.
The moped scheme is good but I would have to be earning enough to pay for it as £45 a week is a lot of money I did have one adviser who even said they won't give you a moped unless it is cheaper than a bus etc.
My jsag says 'Travel within 90minutes subject to public transport' so I guess that answers it.
I will be taking the bus timetable in with me next time I sign to get my hours restricted so I don't have to go through explaining the bus time tables again.
Believe me it is frustrating for me too, it has only been since April they have cut the bus service which includes removing the early Sat/Sun service so a job in retail is difficult as most require Sat working.0 -
so your advisor has picked up a job which is within the travelling time you have agreed to (providing the hours match up with buses which is fair enough) and you don't KNOW the job doesn't fit with travel time, and he has said you won't be sanctioned if you can't accept the job if the hours aren't compatible with public transport?
Really don't see why you are pee'd of with the advisor0 -

Not sure why you're ranting about people not being able to read, perhaps you are talking about yourself?
Uncertain seems to think that I am shooting a messenger, perhaps he or she would like to explain what on earth they are going on about.
The following comment is typical of the attitude of some on here and is the kind of post referred to by me:shop-to-drop wrote: »Is there a reason that you can not move if you find work outside your current area?Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. It was a fair question and the OP says yes she can move so confirms this. Some people are more mobile than others. Don't be so sensitive.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0

I made not a single comment about moving house. I made not a single comment about public transport. I made none of the comments attributed to me. That is what I am going on about. Nor did I make the comment that you said is "typical" of some on here. Do not presume to tell me what I do and do not think - if I felt that the OP was being unreasonable in anything she said then I would have said so. The reason I made no such comments was because I didn't think she was being unreasonable. But then, I am not a JobCentre advisior.
It is not necessary to assume that just because some people are in work we are against people who are not.0 -

Because I don't want the hassle of being picked up for it if they check I applied, I have applied but if they ask for proof?
If hours match then great if they don't no doubt they will want proof etc. It was his attitude and I felt bullied he forced it onto me despite doubts surrounding it.0 -

Nobody said you did. Who attributed a comment to you? I think you need to re-read and hopefully you'll see what a silly post you've made.Do not presume to tell me what I do and do not think - if I felt that the OP was being unreasonable in anything she said then I would have said so. Again, nobody did. Where are you reading these things? It is not necessary to assume that just because some people are in work we are against people who are not.
At the risk of repeating myself...nobody said this either.
I am not going to argue with an irrational person like you who imagines that every post on a thread is about him/her, even when they clearly are not. Not fair on the OP for one thing.Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Another one who can't read.
Sorry OP, this is definitely my last post on your thread. Good luck.Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0
