  • Both my girls used to love a Pop Up Dragon game from ELC, I have no idea if they still sell it now. I remember my youngest playing it for hours nad hours, even on her own sometimes from a really young age ! When the dragon popped up everyone would shout loser to whoever had made him pop ! She used to roll about laughing. ( This is the only time they are ever allowed to call someone a loser I hasten to add !!!)

H,i call me old fashioned and showing my age but for children of that age you cant beat a good old game of snakes and ladders (if they still make it) good fun and helps with learning to count etc :)

  • This is a very simple game from my childhood: The house that Jack built

It was so easy to play, that you can play without "grown ups", my sisters and I used to love it.

  • Orchard Games' Bus Stop is good fun too, easy for little ones (2 and up in my experience) and you have to play to the end to find out who's won- you may finish first but not be the champion. Anything teaches patience is a good thing in my house :rotfl:
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

omg my DD got Buckaroo when she was about 4 - that bleeping mule was so sensitive we couldn't even load it up and set it back on its heels to start the game without it pinging forward and bucking all its equipment off!

It came out of the box twice before we all got completely fed up with it and sent it to the charity shop.
Agree that Buckaroo is rubbish. It either never pops, or you can't get the bl00dy thing down at all.
  • Twister - no need to read for the little one.
