I've got long eyelashes and swear by Clinque's High Impact mascara - makes them curl outwards and they stand up all day.0

Tbh, I just saved the pic and uploaded to tinypic.com - you can choose the size there. That one is 320 x 240Gingernutty wrote: »Freyasmum How did you do that little pic? How? How? How?
That is exactly what it isI dye them myself but have been looking into about a 'special' sort of perm where the eyelashes are glued to silicone pads before the perming solution is applied - is that what you do, freyasmum? The difference is amazing and I don't have to put up with the mascara flakes - which then hurt my eyes The difference is amazing and I don't have to put up with the mascara flakes - which then hurt my eyes
And please, please don't cut your beautiful eyelashes - there are many people who would kill for them!0

Yup. The flakes irritate and you're then stuck in the catch 22 situation of wanting to scratch and rub your eyes but you can't because you'll simply make the problem worse and then you scratch, itch scratch........it's like inflicting eczema on yourself.

I've met a few of them.
Once fully grown and dyed, the maintenance is fairly silly - If one starts to grow 'wrong' and goes into the corner of my eye, then I have to pluck them. Bit of a design flaw there, methinks. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0

The ONLY non smudging one I have ever found is L'oreal in a red & white tube (two ends). You use the white one for volume & then the black, but in your case you could just use the black end.
I just keep going back & back to it. I googled & its

I like Bourjois volumizer, it has two steps one for day and one for night the day is fab for just a light coat and seperating the lashes. Or you could just wipe most of the mascara your using off on a tissue and use a tiny ammount for seperation and a bit of a boost?0

Like most people, I have wasted money over the years on mascara trial and error. A few months ago I went into John Lewis and asked the lady on the Clinique counter for a mascara that guaranteed no black smudges under my eyes after a few hours (just happened to be the first brand I saw). She suggested their 'Lash Power Mascara - Long Wearing Formula'. She told me if it didn't work, she would refund my money. It has worked. It doesn't budge, and no smudging at all. You have to be quite quick in applying it as it dries quite fast, so sets quickly, and it doesn't come off easily at the end of the day, but it has solved the smudge problem. I would recommend it. It cost me £15 at the time, as has lasted a very long time!0

I once had 17 Waterproof mascara in black. It's only about a fiver so worth trying! I found that it stayed on all day long and looked quite natural. 0 0

I can second the clinique mascara I used to look like a panda at the end of each day, tried what felt like every mascara going, anti smudge, waterproof etc finally found kanebo 38 degree, I used to be able to get it in boots lasted all day and night, haven't seen it for a few years now but the clinique one is very similar and on me lasts all day, expensive but I don't use it every day so it lasts a long time0
