I must be thick, please don't shout at me. I have downloaded loads of books (free ones) from the apple store to read on my iphone when I am out and about waiting for an appointment, having lunch etc and think its ace!
I downloaded them all at home so was connect to our wifi so knew that I wouldn't be using any of my o2 download allowance, however half way through the month have just had a text to tell me I have used my 100 mb allowance this month................
I was speaking to them on chat to find out what I was doing and discovered that when I read my book (which I have already downloaded) I am using data when reading it. This really shocked me, call me thick, but I had thought once it was downloaded that was it.
A bit gutted, going to have to rethink this one!

Once its downloaded it should be on your phone try disabling data and reading them to see which ones are the culprit.0

its not just closing a browser or app you need to actually go into setting to see if its turned on or notWhat goes around-comes around0

I think your main problem is the 100Mb per month, o2 are going to take a lot of money off you.0

You may find a Kindle would pay for itself quite quickly.
Downside being having two devices to cart around. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Though the reading experience on a Kindle will be greatly superior to that on a iPhone. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
