Involving police to get new wheelie bin

You could use a chain and padlock which is much cheaper, you want £100,000 for a company for I value at four pence ha'penny but mainly because you failed to notice the OP was providing you with a market opportunity in 2007.
For those reasons - I'm out! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Haha, that made me giggle :rotfl::T0 -

Also just to add, if it happens to you say that the lid was loose! When this happens they easily fall into the lorry hence gone forever. If your council is a funny one; surely they can't charge you for a bin they took!0 -
my brown bin has gone missing twice! but had free replacements.in the end i bought a binlok and no problems since!:T0

A couple of years ago I phoned the council to report my bin missing, They asked if I had been burgled as the bin are used to carry things away so I went back and checked the garden all the ornaments had been taken. I did get my bin replaced free of charge but its now chained up when its not collection day.Shady pines ma, shady pines0

I don't have a grey bin, only a green one and the small black recycling ones, the council want £40.79 for a replacement quoting 'it's the property of the household'.
The house was repo'd and I don't know who lived there before, my last household was a rental whom I assume wouldn't be too happy to lose their propertys bin.
Council say I'll be lucky if I get the green bin emptied despite a polite note added to the front and I should take the minging rubbish overflowing from it down to the local dump (in my work time I assume? and in my very very small car) I pay nearly £1000 a year for council tax and this is what I get?
I will NOT Pay them another £40, this is outrageous.
They even charge those on benefits £20 odd for replacement!
So:
a)do I repaint my green bin grey? (I don't have much of a garden and can easily dump grass clippings elsewhere: on wilts council HQ doorstep springs to mind!)
b)commit fraud by getting my pensioner father to claim a new one at 1/2 price
c)commit theft by stealing someone elses? (in my very very small car hmmmm!)
Wiltshire council....w*nkers.
I could understand it if they refused multiple bin applications but this is tight fisted nonsense, which encourages knock on thefts.Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.0
