How to cancel cashback contract?

Hi, I received my phone from E2Save on 25th april 2006, I was on a 12month contract where the 12 months are free with cashback, my last cashback involves sending in my bill dated March, I was just wondering how I go about making sure the contract gets cancelled upon the last month (which should be april), I mean I'm worried about sending them a letter or phoning 02 as I dont want to cancel right now as I still need to send in my march bill but I want to make sure it is cancelled on the 12th month, if that makes sense.

Any replies appreciated :D

Thanks!

Do you need to give 30 days notice to cancel?

If you do then if E2Save is like Dial-a-phone then you are not eligable for your last cashback if you have already cancelled.

I succesfully managed to cancel my contract with O2 a month after my last cashback with Dial-a-phone by saying that I had sent them a letter 40 days before the end of my year. I had not but when I made the call to O2 I had already written the letter on my computer and was able to E-mail it when I was taking to O2.

Check your T&C's that came with your phone!

I was wondering this myself as I have three contracts I need to cancel and claim cashback for. I've never done it though, so don't really have any advice.

A lot of e2save contracts ask for the 11th bill. Although this has caused some confusion with cashback; if this applies to you, it may mean you can claim the final cashback the month before your last bill and give your 30 days notice with no risk.

Normally though I think your network should send your final bill at the start of the month. I would wait for it to arrive, although this would mean you need to pay some of month 13.
  • Thanks for the replies, I'll have to try and find the contract but the 30days thing does ring a bell.
I think what I'll do is cancel immediately after sending in my 11th bill to E2save, that way I dont think I can go wrong, right?
