Morrisons to open 25 stores and create 7000 jobs

    It's not just the jobs in the supermarkets though. I don't know what size these stores are but the total cost will likely be well in excess of £300m. Approx 10% of that will be for professional fees paid to architects' quantity surveyors, project managers, structural and M&E engineers etc.

    It will also provide work for those employed on the contracting and supply side of the building industry.

    Not permanent jobs I accept, but giving a boost to the construction industry when it is really needed.
