CHIHUAHUA, I keep a positive balance on my Egg Money card on which I get 4% interest paid monthly on the 24th. I also get a cash back at the end of March of 1% (currently amounting to £197) I use it for everything possible, even my new car for which I had to fight the dealer to accept NO CHARGE for the card. They eventually accepted rather than loose the sale. I just hope with Provential being sold off that the cash back continues.

Egg was a subsidiary of Prudential, the insurer, but has just been sold by them to Citibank.
  • have seen the posts about the possibility of cashback stopping and i've only just started:cry: have used goldfish for years which used to be great as it took money off my gas bill in the beg at 1% which was gret but now not so good with lower % and less useful rewards - will keep an eye out for another cashback card if it goes to the wall - still will only get £7.50 on my £750 bathroom which is a bit rubbish but better than nothing i spose! and did get B+Q to agree to an extra 15% off on top of 30% off if i buy by Friday - not too bad! - heres hoping that egg stays generous as its so much easier to stooze and get cashback all in one place.
Have opened one of those HISAVE ICICI accounts to send the money to once its cleared in egg and gone to my current account - hopefully it is a safe place for the money!

CHIHUAHUA, Hi again CH. (see your still on line). Ive just applied by phone (08003896299) for the Halifax smart card and been accepted. Up to 10 days for paper work then further 10 days for card. I thought my stoozing days were over.

    John.

Got my agreement today but a little bit confused.

On the cover letter is says "We are able to offer you a rate of 14.9%" - but doesn't mention the 0% BT

On the following pages under "Charges" - it says BT Fees - 3% (minimum £3)

    I thought BT was free!!!
