New Central Heating Boiler

Options
My Combi boiler has stopped working, it's a Ravenheat about 8yrs old and i pay maintenance insurance of about £13.50 per mth.
Last week they came out but needed to order parts, today they've been back but with the wrong parts. The guy who came today said he didn't think the parts would be available anymore and i'd have to replace the boiler.
So bad news, what will cost £1k maybe more.
Now i've just seen this advert on the Tv for a new boiler with a 10yr guarantee for £17.50 per month. That sounds to me like a good deal, not a lot more than i'm paying in maintenance at the moment.
Has anyone heard of these people or had dealings with them.

Jonny Ball £17 a month new boiler deal

Thanks.

You have been taken in by the advert for £17 per month!

    Read the small print:

    Cash price: £1789.

Finance option: Deposit £474 plus 120 monthly payments of £17. Total ammount payable £2514. Representative 9.9% APR

I wish i'd thought to ask exactly what was needed and then i could shop around. In my insurance it says i'm entitled to repairs of up to £1500 per year, and if it can't be fixed will get a contribution towards a replacement, but doesn't say how much this contribution might be, and i think perhaps they only pay towards a new boiler and not the labour to fit it.

Hi..call and ask your insurer what parts are obsolete. Easy enough to check out the veracity of their claims....post the model number of your boiler on here for verification of availability. Very difficult to get an insurer to cough up for a new boiler.

You are being told a load of porkies. Kick them into touch and find a good local recommended boiler engineer

I can't swop, the insurance are paying for them to come here.
I have though found a website selling parts although i don't know if they have everything.

I found another website suggesting that the people on Tv offering the bargain boilers may be a scam. I thought it sounded to cheap.
