What o2 store deals are people picking up this week or via other stores ??

  • P4U and the likes have lower overheads than O2 (or any provider) as they just provide the hardware and setup the contract, O2 will pay them a commission which will cover the cost of the handset and a bit for themselves.

P4U, CPW etc. will normally beat the networks when it comes to pricing, the problem for you as the customer is if something goes wrong with the handset the network wont need to take an interest as although you're paying them the line rental the contract for the handset is directly with the store who wont be as invested in customer service as the network themselves. If you kick up enough of a fuss with the store in question what they'll tend to do is offer to buy out what's left of your contract on the condition you take out another contract with another network through them rather than actually fixing the issue.

As far as I know O2 stores will only price match deals available from other networks themselves, but this might be one of those ones that it depends who you speak to. The telesales department don't have the facility to price match and will only offer what's on the website.

Been haggling and haggling and holding out for the deal I wanted and EUREKA it worked...

    o2 £21.50 pm, 200 x mins, 3000/UL x texts, 500mb data, (inc wifi/20 mms) and a Samsung Galaxy S2 thrown in !!!!

Now I have to entrust Yodel. I've always been v.satisfied with DHL.

I took "'Wintermute's advice " if something goes wrong with the handset the network wont need to take an interest" so didn't go to a reseller.
